Eldon Meeks, 82, runs a Model 8 Linotype machine, vintage World War II, for the Wapsipinicon Almanac at Route Three Press in rural Anamosa, Iowa, in October 2007. Eldon was born deaf, and is also mute. Video shot by The Gazette's Dave Rasdal.

Eldon Tyrell from Blade Runner was supposed to be replicant

The character of Dr. Eldon Tyrell is presented as a kind of deity figure who has the power of creating life, but unable to prevent death. In the original screenplay Ridley Scott wanted this character as well as Deckard to be a replicant. During the development of the original story-line the Tyrell Corporation megastructure building is actually a pyramid, and at the base of this is a cryogenic chamber which houses the body of the real Tyrell. The replicant Tyrell, by creating near human genetically engineered machines is also trying to discover a way to bring the real Tyrell back to life. Another variation had the bones buried beneath the building protected by the mysteries of 'pyramid power'.

Dr. Eldon Dahl - Life Choice - Raided by Health Canada and RCMP

Naturopathic Doctor, Eldon Dahl and his family were raided by Health Canada and the RCMP on January 15, 2009 for selling Natural Health products. Dr. Dahl agreed to an onsite interview at Toronto's 2010 Whole Life Expo to discuss health freedom and his ordeal. Since the date of this video's release, Dr. Dahl remains embroiled in a court battle with Health Canada involving the so called "illegal" sale of natural health products. He currently resides near Calgary, Alberta, where he continues to rebuild his company, Life Choice, providing fine-quality natural products to health care professionals and retailers. Health Canada has already given final approval of 30 of his products with the remainder in queue for EN approval.

The Art of Life: Dan Eldon in Africa - Part 1

Dan Eldon was an artist and photojournalist who grew up in Kenya and was one of the first to bear witness to the famine in Somalia. He was killed on assignment in 1993 when he was only 22-years-old. Dan left behind 17 artistic journals in which he documented his own life through art. The Art of Life is a portrait of Dan as artist, photojournalist and humanitarian - whose short but passionate life became a source of inspiration to many others.
