| Juvenile discus require several feedings per day, this is because they have a smaller stomach than an adult discus. Feed little but often is a general guideline for a healthy discus, as a result this leads to a faster growth. My feeding regime is 5 times a day, the following time that they are being fed are at: 7 AM, 11 AM, 3 PM, 7 PM and 11 PM. My water changes are due 1 hour after each feeding, this means that the times are: 8AM, 12PM, 4PM, 8PM and 12AM. Each water changes are done in 20-40%, thus equating to a total of 100-200% water change. Juvenile discus require ammonia, and nitrite free water in order to grow large and healthy.
