My Natural Hospital Birth Concieved by IUI

My second son conceived via IUI and the use of a sperm donor being delivered by two of my personal friends, all natural. I used the Bradley Method and Hypnobirthing to prepare and get me through the labor. I went in at 5cm and at 7cm dialated with a buldging bag of water we decided to AROM. 15 minutes later my baby boy was in my arms, ready to nurse. I look sedated however this is how heavy you can get into the hypnosis. I was quiet and calm the entire delivery. Needless to say if you are screaming and yelling during your delivery you are fighting your body doing what it needs to do. Just let your body do what it was made to do and focus and there is no need to scream and yell. This delivery was by far easier and less painful than my first with an epidural.

Labour and birth, a natural hospital delivery

Quite a graphic birth video. Giving birth on my hands and knees to my second child Seren with all the up close and "gross" shots. Don't watch if you don't want to see child birth in detail! I was in hospital for less than 30 mins before giving birth so whilst this is edited down I've not actually cut much out.

trillian's birth

Trillian's birth was an induction at 35 weeks for low fluids. The hospital I was at was a teaching hospital. The doctors on call those days as well as the nurses were excellent in working with my birth plan. (given that I was working with THEM also, i mean.. it was an induction after all.) I opted for an epidural after 36 hours on pitocin. Before that I was using Hypnobabies.=)

Hospital Birth of Lilyanna

After planning for a drug-free labor and birth, we were very disappointed when I received multiple interventions, even though with a certified nurse midwife. My daughter only weighed 8lbs 1.4oz, which is not terribly large for my frame. After such a treacherous experience, we have decided to never again go to the hospital to have a baby. Totally Natural Hospital Birth

After waiting 42 weeks and 1 day, our baby was born in 5.5 hours with absolutely no induction, medical interventions or drugs with an amazing midwife, parents witnessing and my husband being the most amazing labor support person. Our baby was born as I used a birth stool and I was able to see the entire thing (when I could open my eyes) in a mirror opposite our position.
