The O2 Arena, which was formerly the Millennium Dome has since become the most popular music venue in the world, selling nearly two million tickets last year. This follows on from the Dome, which even though it was only meant to be open for one year, became by the end of 2000 the most popular visitor attraction in the UK with 6.5 milliion visitors and the second most popular paid visitor attraction in Europe - only beaten by Disneyland Paris.
