The vocal is there to help you to associate the name of the interval with the sound of it. Try singing along with it. Another thing you may want to try is singing along with it in your mind. The piano sound is a grand piano VSTi from Native Instrument's Komplete: www.homestudioessentials.com The vocals were put in tune with Melodyne: www.homestudioessentials.com I also EQ'd the vocals quite a bit to give more room for the piano sound, that's really what you are meant to be listening to. The vocals are just there to get the names of the intervals into your head so that you can associate the names with the sound. The song associations are there to help you memorize the intervals.
