| Imperium Romanum Orientalis is the Eastern Roman Empire in Invasio Barbarorum so these are Romano-Byzantines vs Sassanid Persians. There are 4 different Roman factions in Invasio Barbarorum, the other 3 are the Western empire that is called Imperium Romanum Occidentalis, the Imperium Constantini & the Romano-British. My fav at the moment are the Orientalis (eastern empire) but i really like also the Occidentalis (western empire) & the Constantini (Constantine's faction). The Sassanid Persians in Invasio Barbarorum have much tougher & more awesome heavy cavalry than any other faction in the whole mod & i was glad that in this battle my cavalry defeated their cavalry cos their cavalry are tougher than mine. By the way they grouped all on one side towards my right flank i though i'm not gonna be able to stop them but i had some great heavy cavalry myself the catafractarii, the clibinarii & the scholae palatinae & i surrounded them. Their war-elephants went along with their cavalry so i was abit glad they didn't came stepping & kicking my infantry but i deployed a heavy onager to blast theirs aswell & it did some damage on its own. The Infantry engaged eachother but the Sassanid infantry is no match to the Romano-Byzantines & got defeated. I don't know why when it started raining, although it was daylight, it suddenly became dark untill the rain stopped. Persian Cataphracts vs Byzantine Cataphracts & so many horses engaged was awesome hehe, i love cavalry battles. |
