MegaCon, short for Mega Convention, is a large convention that caters to the comic book, sci-fi, anime, fantasy, gaming, and multi-genre community, occurring between late February and early March at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA. MegaCon is the southeast's largest comic book, science fiction/fantasy, anime, gaming, toys multi-media event! Each year's Mega Convention in Orlando draws thousands of pop culture fans showing off their best costumes. This video shows just a glimpse of what happened in 2012. From Mario Brothers to Megatron to Monster High, MegaCon 2012 returned to Orlando as the year's biggest Central Florida convention devoted to fantasy, sci-fi, comic books, and other pieces of pop culture. Thousands of attendees descended upon the Orange County Convention Center on International Drive from Feb. 17th - 19th. Beyond celebrity meetings, photos, and autographs, MegaCon features hundreds of booths filled with unique, rare, and often expensive toys and other collectibles, an assortment of panels and gaming, and (my personal favorite part) plenty of opportunities to people-watch as other attendees don their most impressive and inventive costumes.
