How To Build Muscle - 10 Ways To Gain Muscle

How to build muscle at buildtheperfectmalebody.com 1. FUEL UP Begin to read labels on food so you can gain an understanding of how many calories you are currently consuming. Next, add about 500 more calories to that amount. That is the new number for the amount of calories you should start eating every day. Also, you should also be consuming approximately one gram of protein per pound of your body weight every day. 2. LIMIT CARDIO It's okay to do about 2 days of light jogging on the treadmill or even on an elliptical or stationary bike, but it's best to do no more than about 30 minutes at a time. If you really want to lose fat without losing muscle, the best thing to do would be interval training. This is where you would literally run as fast as you can for 30 seconds and then back to an easy jog for 90 seconds; and you would do this over and over for about 20 minutes. This can be done 2 or maybe 3 times a week. 3. DO LESS Don't do more than 20 sets per muscle group. Ideally, you want to be around 12 sets. For maximum muscle growth, you want to get between 6 and 12 reps per set. Your workouts should last 45 minutes to an hour, any more could be counterproductive. Instead of doing more reps and sets in your workout, use heavier weights and do reps at a slow and controlled pace. The amount of time your muscles are under tension is a vital component to muscle growth so make sure that each set lasts between 40 and 70 seconds. 4.
