Technology In Music Education - mimiCopy

If you find this video helpful, please click "like" and "subscribe." Thank you! This is the first in a series of videos covering applications of technology in music education. I am in no way affiliated with the developers of any of the apps or devices in this video. This video shows how to slow down, shift pitch and repeat or "loop" sections of a song from your iTunes library. You can find mimiCopy, used in this video, here: itunes.apple.com mimiCopy is available for the iPad 1 and 2, the iPhone and iTouch devices. This is more of how-to than a review, but I do love this app. I use it daily and hope the developers do well. The song used in this demonstration is "Crash Landing" by Guerrillagator. Guerrillagator is a recording project with guitarist/vocalist Matt Bruun and myself, drummer Niels Myrner. Recorder Final, Music Education

RyanGreenfield.com This is his recorder final. He was required to buy a recorder and play it in class. However, he brought his to a jam session in Allston the first week and lost it there. Therefore, he sang flute in class. For this project, he borrowed the recorder from a friend, practiced for 10 minutes and then recorded. Ryan is a Music Education Major at Berklee College of Music. For his required Elementary Methods class, one of the assignments was to record 2-3 specified children songs every other week. He received a B in this three credit course. This may be a hilarious documentation of the life of Ryan Greenfield in his 4th semester at Berklee College of Music.
