| This is a game that was released on the Playstation Network that is now available through Steam for only $9.99! I'm not one to really throw down money on one of these cheap indie games, but I am very happy with purchasing this game. Shatter is basicly a brick breaking game with a couple twists. You are able to "push" & "pull" the balls in different directions which can really make for some interesting gameplay. You are also able to put multiple balls into the game so that it is easy and faster to break all of the bricks. There is also a special ability that you are able to use once you reach a certain amount of points that gives you the ability to break multiple bricks for a short period of time on screen. It are these little tweaks that made an "old school" genre of game into a blast of excitement and fun to play once again. There are a lot of games modes such as Story mode, Co-Op, Time Attack, Boss Rush, and Endless (my favorite because you just keep playing until you die). There is a total of 10 levels in the Story mode and within each story there are multiple levels to defeat as well as a boss at the end of each story. The games keeps track of your highest scores and allows you to pit your score agaisnt others around the world via leaderboard. The only downside is that the Co-Op is only for people who play on the same machine, it would have been nice if you could play with other people over the internet.
