| LIDX SketchUp Plugin for Early Stage Design, final project video, part 5. Buildings created using the LIDX tool are also SketchUp components. The additional properties added by the tool are embedded into the model geometry. This means that you can use LIDX building components in the same way as SketchUp components, such as instancing them around a site, or making instances unique to make specific changes. The LIDX low impact buildings plugin processes simple massing geometry within Google SketchUp to give profile driven early stage estimates of cost and carbon, and can export to gbXML for energy simulation.
