The music the band plays is best described as groovy, funky, soulful, with a hint of jazz. Steady beats and a hard grooving bass line, funky guitar licks, steaming horns and the sensual, sweet, warm and yet cool, dark and bright voices of Anja Obermaier and Evelyn Berkecz are the main ingredients of the music the band plays. Since the band believes that there are already enough cover bands on this planet, they play their own music, written by Rob Spelberg. Playing on this recording: Rob Spelberg: trombone/composition/arrangements, Anja Obermaier: vocals, Evelyn Berkecz: vocals, Werner "Handsome" Hansmann: trumpet and flugelhorn, Vid Zgajner: trombone, Andreas Marinello: alto saxophone, Heiko Giering: baritone saxophone, Peter Lenz: drums, Martin Roth: guitar, Thomas Wilding: bass guitar, Dušan Kovačević: Fender Rhodes and keyboards Influences Tower of Power, James Brown and the Funky People, Funkadelic, Jaco Pastorius, Seven Eleven, Soil and Pimp Sessions, Pointer Sisters and basically everything else that grooves hard. |
