Occupy Chicago STREET THEATRE

This Hybrid Performance uses movement, borrowed text from the OWS Declaration, original spoken word text, image theatre and friggin' Origami !! Tzar Tzura Street Theatre

a mystical fantasy about creation of the world. The words Tzar Tzura in Hebrew mean transforming the form. Through art of multiple transformations on stage, multifunctional costumes become scenery turning into the cosmic chariot, the majestic throne, the ship, birds and fish. Texts from Song of Gilgamesh, Heihalot scriptures and others have been composed into beautiful songs and are included in the performance together with original electronic music. The use of fairytale stylistics and unusual design, the combination of deep meaning and visual beauty makes the performance interesting for the whole family, children and grownups alike

Street Theatre

The Women Against Poverty Collective (WAPC) held a media conference outside Toronto Police Headquarters as a follow up to the June 3rd action to raise the issue of overpolicing and underpolicing with regards to women abuse. Street Theatre was used to illustrate the desperate need for social housing in Toronto.

Street Kids Perform Street Theatre

A group of 25 street children enthralled an audience of over a hundred adults with their spectacular performance in Goa on November 24. The kids were trained over a period of 10 days by volunteers from the Italian theater group Laboratory of Smiles of under the banner of the "Theatre Per Caso" theater company. The children were from rehab homes run by El Shaddai in Goa.
