When we heard about her accident (in which the driver was killed, and Maria is not expected to walk again), we were stunned, and we wanted to help in some small way. You may remember Maddie, the sweet little 7 year old from our "We Are the World" video, who was struggling for her life in the advanced stages of cancer. Thousands of you prayed for her, and her cancer is now in remission! Call it coincidence or call it a miracle -- we believe your prayers and the massive number of cards and letters she received helped her through. We'd like to do the same for Maria.
