Bentley Continental Supersport (dark-side)

⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩ All the info on this video can be found here ⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩ Video of a very nice Bentley Continental Supersport, driving a little bit then walk-around. My first ever, and a good one! Some might say the color is matte black, but I'd rather think of it as a dark-grey satinated look, if that makes any sense... hope it does lol. Anyways, "dark-side" will have to do lol! It's a monster car, and the color looks awesome in real life, hope it really shows. Plates are from Qatar, and this car was always with the blue Bugatti Veyron Centenaire. Continental Supersports Ice Speed Record

On 10 February 2011, Juha Kankkunen set a breathtaking world record of 205.48mph (330.695 km/h) in the Continental Supersports Convertible driving on a sheet of ice. Kankkunen returned to the hazardous frozen waters of the Baltic Sea, in the Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible, shattering his own 2007 world ice speed record of 199.83mph (321.6 km/h) set in the Continental GT at the same location.

► Bentley Supersports Ice Speed Record 2011 (205 mph)

Finland's four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen drove a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible on the hazardous frozen waters of the Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland, at a breathtaking 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h) to set a new world speed record on ice. Kankkunen was in irresistible form with his all-wheel drive, 6-litre, 12-cylinder Continental Supersports convertible which, in line with the Company's CO2 strategy, ran on biofuel. The world's fastest soft top enabled Juha to shatter his own 2007 world ice speed record of 199.83 mph (321.6 km/h) set in the Continental GT at the same location. With the help of his own experienced team and Bentley engineers, Kankkunen overcame the challenges of temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees, sudden snow blizzards and potentially dangerous crosswinds on the 16.5km track on a 70cm-thick layer of sea ice. The record attempt was driven on a 1000m long measured distance with the speed certified by officials from the Finland Traffic Police. His new world record was based on the average of two runs in opposite directions with measured speeds ratified by a representative of The Guinness Book of Records. As with the previous record-breaking drive in the Continental GT the Anglo-Finnish team used a car with minimum modification. A fully-welded, heavy-duty safety roll-cage, along with Pirelli winter tyres (Pirelli SottoZero II 275/40R20) and a rear bumper-mounted parachute provided reassurance in case of an emergency. MORE GENEVA AUTO SHOW @ INSIDELINE.COM: www.edmunds.com Just when you thought you'd heard the last of E85 ethanol, here comes Bentley with its alcohol-burning 2010 Continental Supersports. In this one way, this 621-horsepower matte-white terror is like a Chevy Tahoe. Otherwise, not so much. Now we suppose that if you've got the jingle to buy an example of this fastest and most powerful Bentley model ever, then you could probably afford to have someone deliver the E85 by the tanker truck to your garage. Otherwise, it won't be easy to find the stuff. Fear not, as the car's W12 engine will make the same horsepower running on regular old premium gasoline, too. Either way, Bentley says that while the Supersports will be available worldwide this fall, cars for the North American market won't be FlexFuel capable until the summer of 2010, following regulatory approval. The first several hundred US-market cars will officially be gas only. Why did Bentley bother with all the ethanol stuff if the car can make the same power on gas? It's the first step in Bentley's plan to make its entire range compatible with renewable fuels by 2012. This should reduce the CO2 output of its fleet and deflect at least a little of the criticism that comes when you produce cars that deliver only 13 mpg in the city. Anyway, the car — it's fast.
