Performing Arts Scholarship Highlights

Six Newark high school seniors have been selected Star-Ledger Performing Arts scholarship finalists for 2008. Ashley Retamar, Whitney Giles, Adriana Allgood, Rocynda Brantley, Khadijjah Mote, and Naja Selby were named finalists and after a round of interviews on April 9, the field will be narrowed to three winners which will be announced at an awards dinner.

Josh Groban Live with the Canadian College of Performing Arts Choir - "You Raise Me Up"

Support the David Foster Foundation: www.davidfosterfoundation.org The David Foster Foundation is celebrating 25 years of helping families who have children in need of life-saving organ transplants. David Foster and a host of incredible guest starts raised 4.6 million dollars in Victoria BC on May 26, 2012. As a powerful conclusion to the benefit, Josh Groban performed "You Raise Me Up", accompanied by David Foster himself and the Canadian College of Performing Arts Choir. It was breath-taking! Josh Groban performed beautifully - even though he was fighting an ear infection and laryngitis. The sold out benefit stayed glued to their seats to enjoy the entire performance, concluding with the impressive talent of "J Gro" as dubbed by David Foster.
