The Piazza at Schmidts (North 2nd Street and Germantown Avenue, www.atthepiazza.com), a mind-blowing 80000 square-foot outdoor gathering place and social hub in Northern Liberties, will host an exciting series of free events all summer long. Modeled after Italys famed piazzas, known for generations as gathering places for the citys bohemian community, The Piazza is a dazzling open-air venue for enjoying live performances, concerts, street vendors, festivals and more all year long. All events are free, and take place in the central courtyard, where the citys largest LED screen and an outdoor performance stage anchor one of Philadelphias most exciting new entertainment destinations.
