| Here is acetate from the Bristish (1954-1968) TV Network Associated-Rediffusion, I have no idea what it was usewd for but perhaps it was the theme of "On View", The disc itself was falling apart and great chunks of the acetate surface falling of and "Crazing", It took a wile to "secure" the surface of the disc before I even attempted a Transfer. As you can hear there are lots of strange noises created by the damage to the disc, never the less it sounds a mile better than the original dub. And Before you ask, Ive been a TV-Radio lost & missing Episode Hunter/Historian for over 25 years, No i have no missing TV/Radio that you can "find" by asking me!!Please comment, tell me how you thought it sounded. Give a man 10 years of unemployment and he can create anything, I Have!, and its this New way to preserve older discs, film, tapes. I was always appalled at the lack of Top end (treble) that most restored CD's Of older material had, once i started mucking about with 78's I got it back So hear for the first time the FULL range of frequency that is locked into each and every 78rpm disc. Any if you like what you hear, Drop a line! you never know you might have some discs or know of someone with discs they'd like to hear properly. Oh and Im a purist when it comes to the original sound on Disc, And those pure mono versions are on my blog, you get to choose from two versions, a "good" one and a Too Much Noise Reduced One "TMNR" ! who else gives you such choice, Oh and if anyone out ... |
