$675k for downloading 30 songs - justice to the record industry

Illegally downloading songs off the Internet has become a common trend around the globe, but a student at Boston University was specifically targeted for the practice. Joel Tenenbaum was sued by the Recording Industry Association of America for sharing 30 songs and now has to cough up a total of $675k. Minnesota cops drugged Occupy Minneapolis?

At least one police officer in Minnesota has been placed on paid leave as investigators look into allegations that cops across the state have drugged members of Occupy Wall Street offshoots. Independent journalists, including Dan Feidt, have spoken with Occupy Minneapolis protesters who say they were offered drugs from officials. Feidt has documented these conversations and released a short film explaining his findings. He speaks with RT about the allegations, and what ethical, moral and medical implications it has for all those involved.

NDAA declared unconstitutional; Indefinite detention of Americans blocked by the court

On Wednesday, District Judge Katherine Forrest ruled the National Defense Authorization Act unconstitutional. Forrest issued a preliminary injunction which restrains the US government from administering section 1021 of the NDAA, a provision that allows for the indefinite detention for Americans with alleged terrorist ties.
