Archbishop Joseph Tobin, CSsR - Witness

Since it launched its Apostolic Visitation of American Women Religious in 2009, the Vatican's Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (previously known as the Congregation for Religious) has been thrust in the spotlight. In the cacophony of voices and reactions to this important and necessary Visitation, Pope Benedict named the former Superior General of the historic Redemptorist Congregation, Archbishop Joseph William Tobin C.Ss.R, as the dicastery's secretary. The American Archbishop's appointment has elicited much positive response, as he quickly moved to re-establish trust and confidence between the visitators and Women Religious in the United States. Now that the visitation has concluded, Witness host Fr. Thomas Rosica speaks with Archbishop Tobin in this recent, exclusive interview filmed in the Vatican Offices of Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.

Amon Tobin - 'ISAM: Live' at Moogfest 2011

Amon Tobin wows a lively crowd at Moogfest 2011 with his visually spectacular show at the Asheville Civic Center Arena. "This is future music," one fan expressed to The Tuned Inn. We think you'll agree that this 'Best Live Act' nominated set (by the Association of Independent Music) brings a cutting-edge visual extravaganza that would fit well in a sci-fi flick. About ISAM: Live: "A truly visual onslaught - abstract narrative, subtle and bombastic - using projection mapping, generative/audio reactive real time and pre-rendered elements combined with custom software to control the show. The visual elements have been synched to ISAM to make a large scale next level HD experience. The show features a stunning 25' x 14' x 8' multi-dimensional/ shape shifting 3-D art installation surrounding Tobin and enveloping him and the audience in a beyond 3-D experience. Amon conceptualized the show as a projection mapped "visual score" to the music from 'ISAM.' He performs the music as a navigator of a large craft through a surreal visual narrative.' This performance was filmed on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Asheville Civic Center on the second night of Moogfest by The Tuned Inn.
