The Panasonic Lumix TZ30 (ZS20) travel zoom in Blackpool, England

I ran this test of the TZ30 (ZS20) in bright sunshine (compact killer for dynamic range) in Blackpool, Lancashire, England primarily as a test to se how it would perform exactly as advertised a 'travel zoom' I shot entirely in Aperture priority mode, ISO 100 and standard film type. Video was in 1080p (50fps). I used the whole zoom and wide angle capabilities of the camera and the results are 'stunning' im my opinion for a camera of this class. It held the highlights remarkably well. I had no incamera processing enabled for either dynamic range or intellegent resolution. The video looks very smooth with no motion artifacts as I can see. I let you make up your own mind but I think that Panasonic have got it right this time.

How to strip and clean a Pansonic Lumix TZ series lens - with warnings!!!

A video requested by several viewers as to stripping and cleaning the inner elements of a pansonic lumix Travel Zoom series camera. Unless your camera is out of warranty and no other options exist I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST TRYING THIS, it is a complex procedure and there is the possibility that you may cause further damage or render the camera totally useless! If you attempt this procedure I would advise you to watch the process through once and then carry out the procedure pausing the video at each step. Orientate the components so you know where they align when re-assembling them. Do not force anything, the assembly is delicate and easily damaged. If something doesn't align then you have something out of place. For the purpose ok keeping this video as short as possible I have not shown the step removing the rear cover and lcd, this is covered in the previous video "cleaning the sensor". I am not a Pansonic trained technician, the methods I show may not be strictly following the service procedures for this assembly, however i have stripped and rebuilt over 20 of these assemblies in the course of repairing these cameras. Most of Pansonics compact camera employ similar lens frams systems so the procedure is almost identical for the FS FX series cameras. Bo not attempt repair to the LX series lenses as they do require setup tools ( i believe) i wish you luck if you attempt this, proceed slowly, methodically and check each stage before completeing the next
