How to DJ perfectly with Virtual DJ - Beginners Tutorial

Update: Some people have been saying they don't have the MixLab V3.1 skin or it doesn't fit their screen. Solutions Can't find skin? Download it here and put it in your VirtualDJ skins folder located in My Documents. Do not unzip it, just leave the zip file in the Skins folder. www.speedyshare.com VDJ Mix Lab V.3.1 skin doesn't fit screen The reason for this is that your screen resolution is too small. It requires a minimum of 1280 x 800 resolution which is native widescreen for many 14", 15" laptops. Any 4:3 aspect LCD or CRT should also support this but you need to set resolution at the minimum to 1280 x 1024 which can be done by right clicking at the desktop, going to properties and then Display and changing the slider there. If your monitor doesn't go any higher and it still doesn't show the whole picture, then either A - Get a new monitor that does, or you can click the Maximize button next to the X button on the very top right to stretch it to fit your screen but it'll be in a wonky looking aspect ratio. Electro Mix Using Virtual DJ Software

A few basic mixes on VDJ. I've just added a laptop to my 1210 setup, and wouldn't advise using this software as an alternative to real decks. Its just a good simple way to get started as its the easiest software for beginners. I've used a few cheats like sync button in order to demonstrate, plus I only had one soundcard at time. I now have time coded vinyl which in some ways is better than using the CDJ's. If you have 3 or more technics making one of them time coded allows you to easily get most songs and still play them in a similar way to vinyl. I would advise using this software along side decks when playing live but it can be unreliable so don't rely solely on it.

Karaoke with Virtual DJ Explained!

Here is a basic demonstration on how you can use a laptop running Virtual DJ to put on a karaoke show. I am using a set of Pioneer CDJ-400s and a mixer to control the software but it isn't necessary. Whether you are a professional KJ or just a hobbyist having fun with friends and family you can pull off a professional sounding show using VDJ. I am a DJ so I use a set of software controllers for mixing music and videos as well. If you need help ask a question in the comments area and I'll respond. As part of this demonstration I sing so if you can't handle people doing karaoke on the net, fast forward it through that part! lol..
