Natural Vaginal Childbirth Delivery Video at Home in Water

yourbirthcoach.com Video of my second home birth. It was about 6 hours of labor from early beginnings to birth. This video starts when things start to feel "pushy." Up until this point I was silent during my contractions. You can watch my labor here http The sounds women make in labor may make it seem as if it is painful, but I can assure you pain was not part of this birth experience. The sounds of pushing help when using all your effort, just like with intense exercise (tennis players hitting the ball). With this birth it really just felt like I needed to have a BM. I didn't want any noise around me or anyone talking. My birth team was great because they really just left me to do my work without disturbance. I did appreciate my midwife saying to go slow when I feel the burn. She said it at the exact right time and that definitely helped make getting the head out so easy and gentle. It is one of the great things about midwifery care, they observe you so carefully that they know just where you are and what you need. Our son was born in our home in the presence of my husband, my daughter (2 1/2 at the time), my mom, 2 friends (mom and daughter), and 2 midwives. giving birth naturally SupermomWannabe.com no pain medication Baby born at 9 on Tuesday July 27th, 2010. 7 lbs. 13 oz. baby boy. 38 weeks pregnant (previous pregnancies were 3-5 days late so labor and delivery unexpected 2 weeks early) Prayers for our baby boy are welcome as he recovers from some health challenges (related to his kidneys). Baby was able to come home from hospital NICU 3 weeks after birth. I planned non medicated birth @ hospital w/ midwife because I'm VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian section) so higher risks. Our newborn son needed medical intervention immediately after birth. This was an unmedicated "dry childbirth" (no amniotic fluid), and baby's abdomen was larger than his head! No epidural, no pain meds, all natural. So yes it hurt. Not only did they carry us through the initial process with late notice, they helped us with a troublesome natural birth. As amazing as the initial care was, the home visits and phone calls after Gia's birth really took their quality service over the edge. Although Des had a risky birth, she was glad to be able to relieve her pain within a comfortable, intimate, and take-your-time sort of environment. We are SO happy to have healthy baby Gia in our lives now.
