Z Bends, "MY" Way

After noticing that a friend just purchased a set of Z Bend Pliers to aid him in making Z Bends for his control linkages, I thought it would be of benefit to show how I make Z Bends. I have a set of these pliers that I bought ages ago, but never use them as they do not yield very good Z Bends. See how you, too, can pull off a nice, professional Z-Bend with only a pair of standard pliers! FMS Sky Trainer Modified Nose Gear. Took few hard landings but modified Nose Gear held up. Quick note when removing the wheel pant from the old nose gear assembly some parts of the wheel pant will break because it is glued together that didn't bother me because I'm not using the wheel pant I just wanted to reuse the wheel. The following outlines my method to install the Dubro mount cut off old mount from the firewall a hacksaw blade does the trick just take your time as not to damage the foam fuselage use 5 min epoxy to glue Dubro nose gear mount in place of old mount be careful not get epoxy in the mounting hole areas and where the nose gear is attached after epoxy cures drill 1/16" holes through the firewall using the mounting holes as your guide Use all 4 screws to secure the gear mount to the firewall the screws go in tight so you will need a good flat blade screw driver apply 5 min epoxy around bottom of firewall filling in the gaps between the foam and around the perimeter of the Dubro nose ...
