NYC Subway 7 Train Ride Front Car View

Great View from the front car. The Queens bound 7 Train. Watch it in full 1080p HD The 7 Flushing Local and 7 Flushing Express are rapid transit services of the New York City Subway, providing local and express services along the full length of the IRT Flushing Line. The services are colored purple on station signs, route signs, and the official subway map, with local service denoted by a 7 in a circular logo, and express service by a 7 in a diamond-shaped logo. Local service operates at all times. Express service runs weekdays from 6:30 to 10:00 am going to Times Square and 3:00 to 10:00 pm (15:00 to 22:00) going to Flushing -- Main Street. "Super Express" service to Manhattan is also provided after New York Mets games weeknights and weekends at Citi Field and US Open (tennis) games: starting at Mets -- Willets Point and operating express to Times Square, also bypassing Junction Boulevard, Hunters Point Avenue and Vernon Boulevard -- Jackson Avenue. The 7 service operates with 11-car trains, more than any other New York City Subway route. The 7 has been nicknamed the "International Express," because the route travels through several different ethnic neighborhoods populated by US immigrants, especially along Roosevelt Avenue. This name is not official, nor is the title used in day to day operations.

DANNY SMALL at New York Subway

He calls himself the "Singing Dragon", his name is Mitchell Hughes aka Danny Small of Gheechee Records LLC aka the Singing Dragon and he was performing at the 14th St/6th Ave station. Originally from South Carolina, there is logic to the moniker Singing Dragon, he was born the same year as Bruce Lee in the Chinese calendar year of the Dragon, of Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban, Brazilian, Mexican and Guyanese and even Chinese descent. A marvel amongst subway performers, what a wonderful way to end a walkabout. Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L, recorded with the in-camera mic and moderately mixed in Final Cut Pro 6.

1985 Subway restaurant commercial reairing in 2006

This commercial first aired in 1985, but recently, a marketing genius in the Minneapolis area decided to resurrect this nearly 20-plus year old commercial, big hair, whore makeup and all. Avid fans of this commercial tell me that a short line of the song missing. I suspect this is so the local franchise could tack on their blurb touting the footlong special at the end. And no, that is not Parker Posey next to the conveyer belt--that is the word from her manager, according to a recent article in the St Paul Pioneer Press (see comments below).
