The People of Haiti Still Need Your Help and Solidarity The massive earthquake which hit Haiti has left up to 230000 dead, tens of thousands of injured and sick, and 3 million people affected in other ways—out of Haitis population of 9 million people. But the highest priority right now is to get as much direct help to the Haitian people as possible. A massive aid effort has been mounted. We encourage everyone to make an individual contribution, as well as getting your unions, community organizations, churches and other groups to pitch in. Every penny counts. Money, equipment, medicine, supplies and skilled volunteers (doctors, nurses, search and rescue personnel etc) are all needed. There are many excellent charities that are providing urgent help on the ground in Haiti. We encourage you to give what you can to this important humanitarian effort. photography by Danish Saroee زلزله هایتی یکی از بزرگترین زلزلههای ۲۰۰ ساله اخیر بوده. من هفته بعد از زلزله به هایتی رفتم تا از زاویه دیگری به این زلزله نگاه کنم نه مثل خیلی از خبرگزاریها که جسدهای مردم را و یا نزاع سر قرصی از نان را از مردم هایتی به مردم دنیا مخابره کردند. هیچ عکسی از جسد مردم نگرفتم و سعی کردم امید را در چشمان این مردم مصیبت زده ببینم و جالب اینکه خود مردم هایتی به این مساله خیلی حساس شده بودند که چرا فقط خبرگزاریها فقط میخواهند عکس از قربانیهای این زلزله را پخش کنند آنها که دیگر نیستند و اینکار آنها مردم هایتی را غمگین تر میکند. به چهره بچهها و مردم نگاه کنید و امید را نگاه کنید. امیدوارم که هیچوقت خانه امید ...
