| This is Part 1 of a 3 part series for flying the Project Tupolev Tu154M Aircraft for Flight Simulator FS2004. Especially designed for pilots who have no knowledge of Russian language or flight operations, and a reasonable understanding of "Western" Boeing style aircraft in Flight Simulator, wishing to fly the Tupolev Tu154 on Vatsim. It is meant as a quick guide to get you flying routes with the aircraft without being frustrated by hours of not being able to operate simple systems like the GPS navigation system, autopilot, and steps through a takeoff from cold and dark, right up to inserting the STAR before decent into your destination. It is not a replacement to the Manual, but can be a bit of a boost to get you in a position to absorb more advanced aspects than simply starting the engines up (which is quite envolved). The next parts will be posted as I create them over the coming weeks. Part I: 1: Introduction (Scenes of the Tupolev, set to my own performance of my own transcription of Shostakovich's Concerto for Piano Trumpet and Strings, transcribed for 2 pianos and trumpet. First Movement excerpt) 2: Setting up the Joystick controls which are seperate from FS2004 for the Tu154. 3: Turning on Electric power and connecting to the Ground Power unit. to avoid battery discharge. 4: Setting up the GPS unit for departure with Flightplan and SID. |
