Codep fans with light in motor

located in the downstairs social room of a church, I found these intresting fans. don't know what these fans are, but they are vintage. the church had more fans but people were waiting to leave. The fan with the broken chain has single bar moon brackets. the fans are mounted with a swag kit so they plug into the wall. both fans are quiet, and wobble free. Hot Air Stirling Engine Car made from Pringles Cans and cardboard running on Candle Power

Here is a better video of my Mark1 Pringle Stirling Trike which I call the Speedster (yes ironically!). I've improved the drive system and created a double wick candle which gives the ideal amount of heat to run the motor at optimum power. I was running it on a small meth's burner but that was really more heat than was needed. If you check out the Mark2 'Scotch Yoke' version you'll see that this first one is actually smoother in operation although the ungainly height causes a bit of a sway and wobble. For those of you worried about the safety of the Pringles cans over a flame I can tell you that I've tested an empty one and it happily withstood a meths flame for over 20 minutes (at which point I got bored) without looking any the worse for wear. Pringles - yet another reason to love 'em!

NIKON D-5000 Video Example (HD 1280X720)

I just purchased a Nikon D-5000. I paid Just under $700 for the body, 18mm-55mm lens, and camera bag. After I got home from the store and as soon as the battery charged I ran out to try to catch golden hour. The video here are the very first video shots I took with the camera. I will admit it could have been worse but you can see the jerkiness and wobble on the fast panning shots. Also, some noise is visible on a couple of shots. I had not yet got past many of the automated features in 'movie' mode so stuff looks a little wonky. Still though this is a pretty good value because the camera is a good DSLR with an intervelometer. I read several reviews about the mono audio signal not being great but for amateur cinema it is perfect as a scratch sync track. Good audio should be recorded separate anyway. Please note that the video was not exposure or color enhanced. The image is raw from the camera.
