Student Neurological Exam - Full Length

Dramatization of a focused neurological exam on a patient suffering an acute hemorrhagic stroke in the posterior internal capsule of the brain. These are both medical students -- the "patient" (actor) is acting according to typical case presentations based on the neuroanatomy of the stroke. I've received a number of comments on patient privacy, so once again, this is a re-enactment of a "typical" case for educational purposes! We take patient privacy very seriously. We do appreciate your concern, as well as the complement to our medical students' acting skills :-)

Flintlock Musket: Napoleonic tap loading - fiction and fact

2/95th Regt (Australia) reenactors research and test tap or spit loading as shown in Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe series of books, especially Sharpe's Eagle. We tested safety, speed, accuracy and penetration, all with period correct ammunition. Black powder was 2F. Ball was .67, bore of muskets was .75 inches. Notably, we did not have bayonets fitted. But we tried it and the bayonet does not prevent spitting the ball down the barrel. Anyone who locates a contemporary reference to spit or tap loading, please add the reference to the comments log. CAUTION: not all safety procedures used in this demonstration are evident in the video.

Conquest Of The Air

This drama follows man's attempts to fly from ancient times through the first balloons, the Wright Brothers, and other pioneers, using dramatic re-enactment and working models of early flying machines. Beginning with World War I, archival footage is used. Much on mid-1930s commercial aircraft and experimental planes including early helicopters. In conclusion, some sword-rattling appropriate to the opening months of World War II.
