| Fly With Me- Chapter 63 Joe's POV I, unfortunately, was woken up what felt like 5 minutes later. My mom was shaking my shoulder. I mumbled something. "Joe, we're stopping for lunch," she tells me. Lunch? I must've been asleep for a long time. I open my eyes. Demi. Where's Demi? She's not in the bunk. I climb out and wobble a little. My mom steadies me. "Where's Demi? Is she okay?" I ask frantically. "Yeah, yeah, she's fine now," my mom stutters. Now? What's that supposed to mean? "Come on, Joseph," I follow my mom to the front of the bus. I see Nick on a couch; Demi is slumped next to him, asleep maybe. Kevin is at the booth with Frankie. I sit down on the couch across from Nick and Demi. My mom sits down next to me. "How long has Demi been up?" I ask. "Well, about half an hour. She fell asleep again about 5 minutes ago," my mom gestures to Demi. "So, how did she feel?" I ask slowly. "Um, well, she felt....pretty bad when she woke up, but I think she's feeling much better now," my mom speaks slowly as well. "Um, okay,"...I'm confused. A few minutes later, we stop at Subway for lunch. I put on some sunglasses as Nick wakes up Demi. She sits up a bit and smiles when she sees me. She gets up and comes over and I hand her some Ray Bans. "How are you?" I ask. "Uhh, good. Hungry," she says. Hm, okay. We all get off the bus and go into the little sandwich shop. No one was in there so we ordered and got our food in peace. We brought it back out to the bus and got on and started ... |
