I've never shot lever action, so that'll be a first for me. I also have my Mosin Nagant 91/30 (made in 1942), chambered in 7.62x54R. I'm not very skilled with the rifle, so I'm hoping my brother can help teach me to be less bad at it haha I've named my Mosin Anya, and my Winchester, Jameson. Yeah, I'm one of those people who names their guns... the ones I really like, at least. I've never fired my Model 94 before this video, so I haven't learned the feel for it. I'm reasonably inexperienced with rifles, compared to how often I shoot pistols, so I'm not very confident about my abilities. I'm also left-eye dominant, which doesn't affect my pistol shooting as much as it does my long gun shooting. To help, I'm learning to shoot left handed. I already have incorporated this into firing handguns, but for this rifle, I'm still learning. Using open sights definitely made rifle shooting more challenging... but the real test: did I even hit the target? I couldn't go walk out to the 100 yard target because the range is still hot, but I was able to get a view of my target through the spotting scope. Looks like every round hit, but I have a long ways to go before achieving any real accuracy. Next, my brother helps show me how to shoot a rifle from a standing position. He's a patient ... |
