no cancel button lightwave 10.1 crash repeatable

with no cancel button now in 10.1 of newtek's lightwave 3d app your only option is to hit the windows X button on the dialogue box, this then crashes modeller. layout in 10.1 is fine btw you can cancel out with the windows X key and all is fine.
