| short film, 2007. narrative: Hanged man Long-long time ago people believed in a faraway town called Adeon. Anyone who ever felt unhappy set off to find it; it was believed the ocean lay there from which even one drop could feed one for centuries. Once there, people would be lavished with wine and honey, time would cease to pass and they would remain children and elders. At one time every man took off to seek Adeon. People traveled through the world, went from town to town but never found Adeon. In each town they stopped at they left behind a piece of their lives, for in Adeon they would not need anything. They did not care about their lives anymore, for once they arrived in Adeon they would live in plentitude. While they were on the road, their numbers decreased. After a while they started getting tired of their quest but they still would not give up their dreams. During the journey they started to go in circles. They were wandering around so much that in short they explored every bit of the world, but Adeon was still nowhere to be found. They did not recognize the towns they have already been to during their search for Adeon so they started returning to them from time to time. Their journey had become a cycle that led to nowhere and which was getting more and more tiring. Death Finally, when everything they ever owned was left behind, they became tired of the endless expedition and knew they had to stop. They ended the pursuit for Adeon and decided to find new paths ... |
