NGC 4038/4039 Antennae Galaxy formed by Colliding Galaxy

The sequence begins by depicting the collision of two large galaxies which now form The Antennae. Gas and stars from the galaxies are ejected into long arcs. The animation then shows how collisions between huge gas clouds in the central region of the merging system trigger a stellar baby boom. Next, as seen in a closer view, the most massive of these stars race through their evolution in a few million years. These stars end their lives as they explode as supernovas that further heat the clouds and enrich them with heavy elements. Time-Lapse Movie Of Crab Pulsar Wind

This movie shows dynamic rings, wisps and jets of matter and antimatter around the pulsar in the Crab Nebula as observed in X-ray light by Chandra (left, blue) and optical light by Hubble (right, red). The movie was made from 7 still images of Chandra and Hubble observations taken between November 2000 and April 2001. To produce a movie of reasonable length the sequence was looped several times, as in looped weather satellite images. The inner ring is about one light year across. 949 Racing Simulator- Multi car race

This is is the CXC Motion Pro II racing simulator we have available to rent or lease. Standing start in the 997 cup car at Le Mans. Driving one handed with auto shifting so I'm all over the place. My cheap camera doesn't really capture all the detail but the sense of immersion in the environment is great. The shifts banging the seat, the aero wake off the other cars pushing you wide on the Mulsanne, the rumble strips coming up the through theh seat and wheel. Way too much fun.
