Stalman Talks Photography - Episode 4, Part 2 stalman.ca An overview of the top three video DSLRs out right now from Canon - the 5D markII, 7D and T2i. A tough choice, and each of these cameras has it's roll to play. By the way, this video was shot on the T1i, and it was a terrible experience. Moire, artifacting, auto white balance and exposure changing mid scene, it drove me up the wall. Great for stills, not so great for video. JI-WON! test short (canon 5d mk2 24p) 지원아! 케논 마크2 촬영

this short was a test run to check out the capabilities of mk2. and to my big surprise, the raw footage is absolutely stunning and i'll shoot future shorts with this camera rather than SONY EX3. sound is temp. shot over several hours with various zeiss/canon lenses. cut with FCP, color adjusted with MAGIC BULLET LOOKS. converted to 24p with cinema tools and compressor. the budget for this project was 200 bucks. sorry, no subtitle yet. but the premise is about a guy who's waiting for his girlfriend to come down from work so they can go have a picnic. but when he's forced to wait longer than expected, he plays a prank on her by telling her to get into a "friend's car" parked outside the building. based on a real prank pulled by a colleague.

5D MK II @ 24fps

More of my 5D videos at: www.youtube.com More coming soon (been super busy) My hard drive got loaded with new test shots I did with the 5D in the past two months. Last night I decided to make another quick montage out of it. It was a very quick edit (a bit sloppy) but I think there are some nice images there. In this one I was testing a T/S lens, shots are hand held (was testing a Hoodman loup) Shot around NY,NJ and on a recent Job in Peru (I was working with a Varicam but had the 5D in my bag) I would love to hear some feedback, good or bad.

Canon 5D Mark II and 7D Final Cut Pro Importer

A short runthrough on how to use the new plugin from Canon for Apples Final Cut Pro to import footage from the Canon 5D Mark II and 7D by way of the log and transfer function. This plugin still is not a 'native' approach, in that it still converts your footage to ProRes 422 but it is much faster and easier to use than other methods.
