| After you defeat the great greedy penguin King of Dream Land, you're automatically lead to the 8th, hub-less level, The Fountain of Dreams. At this point, Kirby was able to completely reassemble the Star Rod, and plans to return it to said Fountain. Dedede tries to stop him, by Kirby wouldn't listen. Dedede tries to stop him again, but Kirby knocks him away. When he puts the Star Rod back, Nightmare, the main villain of this game, appears in his orb form and escapes. Dedede then spits Kirby with the Star Rod after him. All you can do against this boss is to keep hitting him with the Star Rod's shots. You can't take your time with that, however, because despite how the fight looks, Kirby is actually falling out of the sky. When the Nightmare Orb is defeated, Kirby takes another Warp Star to chase the Orb to a moon. There the final battle takes place, as Nightmare takes on his true form. Floating with Kirby is a bit stiff this time. You can only hold "UP" instead of trying to double jump since Kirby uses his first jump as an automatic spin wheel. You can only hurt Nightmare when he exposes his white, tornado body. You do more damage to him if you shoot him instead of hitting him physically. Just basically bring the hurt on him enough times and he'll fade out of existence. This causes chain reaction on the moon where a huge chunk of it explodes, convienently turning the full moon into a thick cresent. The ending reveals why King Dedede did what he did, and how he was ... |
