| OK, it's going to be USED as an electric car motor, not necessarily an electric car motor, but a motor is a motor, right? As long as it can put out the needed power. This motor originally came off of a forklift, and was rebuilt to put out a tad more power by the person I bought it from. It was originally rated at 36 volts, putting out a nice 18 constant horse power, and since electric motors can put out around 10 times their rated power for a short period of time, I think it should be able to crank up to 150 horse power when accelerating, if I can make or get a speed controller to put out that much amperage. Planning on getting some Thunder Sky lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, if I can afford them :P. I will post build videos as I go. Dunno why I overdid it with the sparks. |
