DIY iPhone 4 Steadicam

Here's a little instructional vid I did to show you how to make a steadicam for your iPhone (it also works great for small camcorders). Be sure to check out the demo vid over at www.aetherdrinker.blogspot.com. Edit: Not trying to take credit for inventing any part of this, lots of people have great posts on YouTube and elsewhere on how to make every part of this, and I highly recommend them. I can't credit them all, so use the search bar or Google. This is just my take on how to do it for an iPhone or small camcorder. It's just for fun. If anyone wants more details and instructions just let me know. Edit 2: Thanks for all the comments, I'm using your advice to tweak this thing and post one more video (and then I'm done with this thing, it's on to more useful tools). Right now this is more a stabilizer than a steadicam. A real steadicam needs to be completely balanced, which this rig is not. So stay tuned. Also as some have pointed out BE CAREFUL HEATING PVC PIPE! IF IT BURNS IT IS HIGHLY TOXIC (puts off Dioxin)! Don't let it catch fire, and perform in a well ventilated area, preferably with a mask. And the camera I used to film this How To was a Canon 5D Mark II with a 50mm 1.2L lens. No lighting, or post effects were used. Samsung HMX-H200 Video test

A Great Camcorder with many great features -Great video quality in all modes, 60 frames per second really helps here. -Stills from video look great for prints up to 6x9 (1080i) or 4x6 (720P). --- If you've ever tried to capture lightning in pictures, this is a time saver) -Great battery life, around 2.5 hours. Compare that with Canon, Sony or Panasonic. -Great for close up work and "low light" videography -decent optical stabilization along with 20x optical zoom Download Format Factory! Most editing programs have trouble with the AVCHD format and this "FREE" program converts your camera video to your format of choice. You can choose file size and frame rate. This will make your life so much easier. "This may be Windows only". Google it! cons: In 720P mode a new file is created every 20.5 minutes which results in a small but noticable gap in your recording. If you plan on using this to made DVD's or web video, 420P (720x480) will do nicely and last over an hour before a new file is created. Probably more often in 1080i but most of my shooting is in 720P.

Green Day @ PVHS video # 8: 'Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?'

Shortly after changing their name from Sweet Children to Green Day, this band performed at the annual Foreign Foods Day at Pinole Valley High School in Pinole, California. This was filmed on May 10, 1990. The quality is good because a professional quality Sony video camera - not a camcorder - was used. This second set was filmed by a couple classmates of mine. I filmed the second Green Day set using a conventional VHS camcorder.

The Glock 19: Part 1 (Unboxing + Glock's New Phosphate Coated Barrels)

Part 1 of a 3 Part series on the Glock 19. This part show's the unboxing of my brand new Glock 19. Tune in to have a look at Glock's new phosphate coating used on its barrels. Apologies for the sub-par audio quality in these video's. These are my first video posts and they were recorded using a standard definition dvd camcorder. The videos had to be converted to a an accepted youtube format which decreased audio quality. Future video's will be recorded using my new High Definition Hard-drive camcorder which already records in a youtube accepted format.

The Dark Knight - Return To the Wild - Part 9 (breyer horses movie/series)

OK, PLEASE READ THIS! Sorry it took so long, and also for general image quality and audio feedback. So I had to use the little Samsung camera instead of my Sony Handycam camcorder, as I have misplaced it's charger.....So yes, YOU WILL HAVE TO TURN THE VOLUME UP! Also, my special WMM crashed, so I am now just using the bog standard version, hence no effects. This part is boring...yes.... But there is PLENTY of action to come. Once I find the charger for the camcorder, I'll film the next part, which will play a vital role in the plot. So, we see in this part Lauri, deciding that maybe he should accept this life... After all, for now he can't remember anything about himself, or his past. He was alone in the wild....So what does he have to lose? His instinct was to seek other horses... and that's exactly what he had found! He realizes that with Walter, (a good human) and his sheer kindness, that maybe Lauri should just settle down, and enjoy what he has infront of him. A warm stable, food, water, shelter, and most importantly...other horses. Lauri meets Gwen in this part....soon to be one of our main characters.... This is only the beginning....
