Jumpstyle competition between Russia and the US Music is "Ey Heb Die Beine An" by Springstil. Late one night I was watching Jumpstyle videos and I came across several that used scenes from Viy, the 1967 Russian horror movie. It was great. Later, I came stumbled on a few using an old clip of soldiers performing a Kossack dance. While watching dance battles on www.51clubber.ru I got an idea. This is the result.

The Moscow Victory Day Parade of 2010 was held on 9 May 2010 to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the capitulation of Nazi-Germany in 1945. Russian Honor Parade Red Square 7 November 2010

This is the memorial honor parade in Red Square, 7 November 2010. This event is remembering the October Revolution parade of 1941. The parade on 7 November was held in a bold show of normalcy. During that time the USSR, and indeed the city of Moscow was under siege from the invading Nazi armies. The troops who marched past in 1941 went into battle shortly after, many of these brave soldiers perished. Памяти парад на Красной Площади 2010 года. Farewell Of Slavianka

Farewell Of Slavianka (Russian: Прощание славянки - Proshchanye Slavyanki) is a Russian patriotic march, written by the composer Vasily Agapkin in honour of the Bulgarian women bidding farewell to their husbands who left for the First Balkan War. The march premiered in Tambov in 1912 and was subsequently released as a single. Slavyanka means "Slavic woman". The melody gained popularity in Russia and adjoining countries during the World War I, when the Russian soldiers left their homes accompanied by this music. It was also used as an unofficial anthem of Admiral Kolchak's White Army. It was commonly believed, erroneously, that prior to its use in the award-winning 1957 film The Cranes Are Flying, the song was banned in the Soviet Union due to associations with the tsarist regime and the counter-revolutionary movements. This was not the case. This march was published in an official collection of music for Red Army orchestras, and it was recorded in the early 1940s by a military orchestra under Ivan Petrov (1906-1975), though different lyrics were used during that time. There are lyrics which are usually sung by the Red Army choir, even today. Subsequently, several Russian and Polish composers attempted to write lyrics for this music. During the 1990s, the Yabloko party lobbied for the march to be adopted as the National Anthem of Russia, but without success. Currently, the march is recognized as the anthem of the Tambov Oblast. Lankaran Battalion in Kasapet Mountain

The collapse of the Soviet Union triggered many ethnic conflicts throughout the Eastern Europe and Asia. One of the most horrific conflicts was the Nagorno-Karabakh War. Armenia with the support of Russia invaded neighboring Azerbaijan and occupied some 20 percent of Azerbaijan's territory - known as Karabakh. The conflict claimed the lives of some 30.000 people and left more then a million people displaced in Azerbaijan. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan suffered heavy losses. This report contains unique footages of mountainous warfare from the perspective of the soldiers - the Lenkeran Battalion. The battalion was an all volunteer battalion composed of mainly ethnic Talysh people. The battalion defended Azerbaijan against the Russian and Armenian expansionism and invasion in the early 1990s. The Talysh people have played a tremendious role in shaping the Azerbaijani identity. They also made great contributions to Azerbaijan's cultural and historic heritage.
