Trike Flying Arizona - "Fields and Desert" (HD)

We flew 220 miles from Phoenix, Arizona to the Imperial Sand Dunes of southeastern California. The flight lasted from sunrise to about 3pm. We flew from our home field Pleasant Valley airfield over the beautiful Sonoran desert, past the White Tank Mountains, via Gila Bend airport, over a vast stretch of alfalfa fields, to the low desert, to Yuma (where we stopped for lunch), and then to the dunes. The weather was great, although windy at times. The ground vehicles were mostly doing the "sand drag races" at the dunes. Other aircraft: notice the cropduster flying beneath halfway through, and my friend Chris flying our friend Kurt's plane throughout. Aircraft: Air Creation Buggy with Kiss 13m wing. Camera: Sony PC 110 with .42 wide angle. Conditions: calm to 15mph wind (we trailered home to 20mph headwinds). Altitude: 2-1000' AGL. One of the best rides of my life.

Flight 180 (2000) Volée Air Flight 180 is the fictional flight route designator for the flight featured at the beginning of the film; most of the flight and subsequent crash was based on the real life crash of TWA Flight 800. It is assumed that the flight routinely flies from John F. Kennedy International Airport near New York City to Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris, France. On the night of the crash, Flight 180 is being operated by a Boeing 747-200 aircraft when it explodes on a 9:25 PM take-off just off Queens and burns up in the Atlantic Ocean on May 13, 2000, with the loss of 287 lives. Among the passengers are 39 high school students from Mt. Abraham High School and their chaperons. Several days later, the National Transportation Safety Board rules that metal fatigue had deteriorated silicon insulation on an electrical connector to the plane's scavenge pump, sparking electrical wires in a fluid line. This ignited a fuel tank in the fuselage and caused the explosion. Route 23 Pileup (2003) The second film begins on the one-year anniversary of the Flight 180 explosion, on Route 23. New Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental Majestic First Flight

A majestic takeoff sent the new Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental soaring skyward on March 20, 2011, allowing her to flex her wing high above the clouds as the new "Queen of the Skies". The newest version of the iconic Boeing 747 made its inaugural flight after years of hard work from thousands of Boeing engineers, mechanics and technicians, in partnership with aerospace suppliers around the world. "What a great privilege to be at the controls of such a great airplane on its first flight," said Captain Mark Feuerstein, the 747-8 chief pilot. "And what an honor to share this day with the thousands of men and women who designed and built this airplane." While the 747-8 Intercontinental retains the recognizable hump at the front of the fuselage, the airplane is 18 feet (5.6 meters) longer than its predecessor.
