| Turkey's football championship final ended in a mass riot, as hundreds of angry supporters of Istanbul side Fenerbahçe reacted to their team's goal-less draw. After the game, Fenerbahçe fans stormed the pitch as well as throwing flares and plastic chairs. Police had to protect players with their riot shields as they fled to the locker rooms at Fenerbahçe's Sukru Saracoglu Stadium. The violence continued outside the stadium with Fenerbahçe fans throwing stones at police, turning over trash bins and smashing shop windows. Two police cars were turned over and torched.
