It was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 m (902 ft) long and shoots water 150 m (490 ft) into the air (equivalent to a 50-story building), accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. It was built at a cost of AED 800 million (USD 218 million) and attracts thousands of tourists on a daily basis.

Burj Dubai Fountain - Ishtar Poetry

WET Design water feature, Burj Dubai Fountain located at the foot of the Burj Dubai tower, choreographed to the song, Ishtar Poetry. Principle designer, Claire Kahn, and I worked together programming this show in Dubai during the month of August, 2009. Thousands of lines of code control the animatronics. I shot the film from the control booth and layered the audio over it, so you can see reflections in the window. It's my favorite. Enjoy!
