| Surveillance footage has emerged of a 62-year-old grandmother being mauled by two pit bulls on a street in New York. Carmen Cabrera was walking to a convenience store store when two dogs managed to escape from their caretaker and lunged at her, locking their jaws around her arm. "They just attacked me and pinned me against the corner of the refrigerator of the store," Ms Cabrera told Fox News. "I was trying to block them because they were trying to go for my face." The man in charge of the dogs managed to pull the dogs off Ms Cabrera and then started beating them as she ran away. The grandmother is thankful she was wearing a coat on the day of the accident and believes her injuries would have been a lot worse if she had taken it off. "If I didn't have the jacket on, they would have ripped my whole arm apart," she said. |
