| Landing at Pyongyangs Sunan International Airport (FNJ) onboard Tu-154B-2 registered as P-561 and operated by Air Koryo. The flight number was JS222, originated in Beijing Int'l (PEK) and was a tourist charter. The runway is far north of the airport complex, hence the slow reverse thrust engagement. The engines are Kuznetsov NK-8-2U with the distinctive secondary air inlet doors to provide additional air. Sorry for the reflections, there was no chance to avoid them. The landing was relatively soft although it looks like a hard impact, kudos to the Tupolev gear design built for rough field operations. |
