Lahori Baigan Bharta

Recipe to prepare "Lahori Baigan Bharta": Ingredients: 1. cooking oil - 4 table spoons 2. Brinjal (medium slices) - 1 large size 3. garlic - 7-8 cloves 4. salt - (to taste) 5. red chilly powder - 1-1/2 tea spoon 6. onion (finely chopped) - 2 medium bulblets 7. ginger (grated) - 1/4 inch 8. turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon 9. tomato (finely chopped) - 3 medium size 10. green chilly (roasted) - 3-4 Procedure: 1. heat 2 table spoons cooking oil in a pan (on medium flame) 2. fry medium slices of brinjal (1 large size) to get a brown coating 3. sprinkle little salt 4. add 1/2 tea spoon red chilly powder 5. toss the slices well, and cook them for 2-3 minutes 6. take the slices off the pan, and let them cool to room temperature 7. in the same pan, fry 7-8 garlic cloves, and allow them to cool to room temperature 8. mash the brinjal slices and garlic cloves together 9. heat 2 table spoons cooking oil in a pan 10. fry finely chopped onion (2 medium bulblets) 11. add grated ginger (1/4 inch) 12. stir the ingredients well 13. add 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder 14. add 1 tea spoon red chilly powder 15. add finely chopped tomato (3 medium size) 16. add salt (to taste) 17. toss the dish properly, and allow it to cook for few minutes 18. add the mashed mixture of brinjal and garlic 19. stir it for few minutes on medium flame 20. for garnishing, roast 3-4 green chillies on flame 21. put the flame off 22. garnish the dish with roasted green chillies Well-done Guys, applaud yourself for the ...

Ox bone soup (Seolleongtang)

www.maangchi.com Music: Windy city's Elnino Prodigo Ox bone soup is very popular all year round in Korea, but especially in the winter. Ingredients (for 6 servings): 2.5 pounds of ox bones, 2 pounds beef flank (or brisket or round), water, Korean radish (or Daikon radish), onion, green onions, salt, black ground pepper, sesame oil. See my site for pictures and descriptions of ingredients: www.maangchi.com Directions: 1. Soak the ox bones and the beef in cold water for 20 minutes to remove any blood. 2. Rinse bones in cold water a couple of times to remove any bone chips. Drain the water. 3. Boil 14 cups water (3 ½ quarts) in a large pot 4. Put the bones and beef into the pot of boiling water. Boil for about 10 minutes. 5. Turn off the heat and take out the bones and beef. Get rid of the water. 6. Rinse and drain the meat in cold water to remove the excess fat. 7. If you only have one pot to use, clean it thoroughly with kitchen soap. 8. Put the bones and the beef back into the pot 9. Add about 12 cups of water (3 quarts), 1 medium size onion, and 1½ pounds of peeled radish to the pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. 10. When it starts boiling about 20-30 minutes later, lower the heat to simmer for 3 hours 11. Turn off the heat and take the beef and radish out of the pot. Put them into a bowl or container. It is a "staple gun" that provides amazingly fun and long lasting service in the recreation and training POUs. With its low recoil and lower noise levels, it is an unintimidating introduction gun for your new shooter. And as a fun and fast shooting pistol, it a great addition to your recreational options. The 22/45 is heavy at 34 ounces but as a infrequently-carried training and recreational gun, that doesn't matter too much (and actually helps minimize muzzle flip). From our 18 years of shooting these 22/45s, we find that both the Mark II and Mark 3 versions of the 22/45 achieve high levels of reliability. You will get an occasional jam which is on par for the type but with quality ammunition like CCI Mini Mags they are infrequent. The Mark 3 version superseded the Mark 2 version and both are discussed. The Mark 3 brought a few unwelcome "advancements:" a magazine disconnector (making both fieldstrip and quick mag changes more laborious; shooting without magazine inserted is now impossible), a loaded chamber indicator, a rounded trigger guard, and a thinned out grip.
