| This is the parade in Moscow's Red Square, devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War (what the Eastern Front of World War II is called in the former Soviet Union), in the Great Patriotic War, 9 May, 2010. In this historic event, for the first time ever, soldiers of the Anti-Hitler Coalition of the Allied Nations are participating in this military parade. Soldiers of the USA, UK, France, Poland, and CIS (the former Soviet Republics) nations honorably march past Red Square. Presiding over the military parade is Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation; Anatoly Serdyukov. Commanding the parade is commander of the Moscow Military District, Colonel General; Valery Gerasimov. General Valery Gerasimov is a graduate of the Suvorov Military School (1973), and the Tank Troops Academy Named After Malinovsky (attended 1985-1987). The Combined Orchestra is lead by director of the Moscow Military District Orchestra, Major General; Valery Khaliov. |
