Let's see what you got: Positive things about the game: - Amazing atmosphere (You will be scared, the atmospheric sounds and the darkness will drive you nuts). - Music/Sound (Simply amazing, ambient sound will scare you, as you don't know if it's a monster or just your imagination). - Graphics (The lighting is good, and the environment textures are well polished). - Physics (You can basically move anything you see, and it will react naturally to your touch - some puzzles also require you to take advantage of these physics). - Voice acting - You have no weapons (You can't defend yourself, so if you're attacked by one of the games disgustingly gruesome monsters you have two choices - Run for your life, or try and hide). - Sanity meter (Your brain will slowly drip out of your ass the longer you stay in the darkness, or if you see a monster. Solving puzzles and staying in the light will slowly return your sanity to normal). - Long (about 13 hours or so). Negative things about the game: - Puzzles are a bit too easy (Compared to the Penumbra series, almost laughable). - Lack of monster diversity (All the same monster types will have the same model - but they're still scary as hell). - Story (It tries to tell it through diary's and notes, which isn't really good if you miss a few because you will have no idea what's going on). - Some scripted events are predictable - Can actually scare you into not playing it (This is more of a joke negative :P ... |
