Four continuous pieces of single ply toilet roll paper twisted and soaked with a 3:1 ratio of potassium nitrate (I've used sodium chlorate in the past) and sugar in as strong as possible solution with water. I keep dipping my finger in the solution as I'm twisting so that the paper doesn't become too saturated and fall apart. I then hang them to partially dry for an hour or two before placing in an oven for 5 minutes at 70-80c. Burn rate of this particular batch is roughly 1.2cm/sec.
