Abbas and his international supporters claim that only Israel (with the United States) stands in the way of this act of historical justice, which would finally bring about peace in the Middle East. This video debunks the Palestinians' claim and shows that Abbas has been lying about the origins and history of the conflict. Palestinian leaders have rejected partition plans that would have given them much more land for their independent state than the Jews were offered for theirs. ICC rejects Palestinian request to investigate crimes within its territories

The International Criminal Court's General Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo on Monday said the court will not accept a Palestinian demand to investigate alleged war crimes by Israel since July 2002 until Palestine is recognize as a state by the UN General Assembly. "In order to proceed we need the General Assembly of the UN accepting Palestine as an observer state. As soon as this is done we can proceed," Ocampo told Al Arabiya's New York Bureau Chief Talal al-Haj in an inclusive interview. "There is a problem because In order to proceed I need Palestine recognized as a state because I am not the prosecutor of the world, I am the prosecutor of the countries who accept my jurisdiction. I need a country accepting me and then I investigate the crimes," the prosecutor said. In Jan. 22, 2009, the Palestinian Authority (PA) submitted declaration to the International Criminal Court (ICC) under Article 12(3) of the Rome Statute which allows States not party to the Statute to accept the Court's jurisdiction. The PA's declaration stated: 'The Government of Palestine hereby recognizes the jurisdiction of the Court for the purpose of identifying, prosecuting and judging the authors and accomplices of crimes committed on the territory of Palestine since 1 July 2002. As a consequence, the Government of Palestine will cooperate with the Court without delay or exceptions in conformity with Chapter 9.' Palestinian does not have any rights to go through freely in Palestine 10.Jan.2012

Israeli Occupation forces arrested Khaled Atallah Al-Tamimi (Nabi Saleh), Azmi Shyoukhi (Hebron), the young Omar Saleh Al-Tamimi (Nabi Saleh) and a Palestinian girl by the name of Anwar. Further the Israeli intelligence services demanded confiscated the id and car of Mahmoud Zwahre. When he managed to evade arrest, Israeli army called him telling him he would be put on wanted list if he does not turn himself in for arrest within 30mins. Mahmoud is now also arrested, 10mins ago, he was at the DCO in Jericho, to be taken to Ma'ale Adumim. In addition, the IOF apparently held the identity card of Naim Marar intending to force him to turn himself in to the occupation authorities. In addition, since last night, ITF imposed a tight security cordon on the village of Nabi Saleh... Many people joined to show their rights to pass the road freely at Jericho checkpoint today, israeli soldiers were not accept to go trough the road .

Israel returns remains of Palestinians

The bodies of 91 Palestinians who died in Israel have been handed over to the Palestinian Authority. The remains had been buried in unmarked graves in a cemetery controlled by the Israeli army. Some had been there for more than three decades. Al Jazeera's Sue Turton reports from Ramallah.

Hundreds of Palestinians join hunger strike

Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails are joining a fellow inmate on hunger strike, after human rights groups reported that his life was in danger. Khader Adnan has been refusing food and water since he was detained on December 17.

"Neither the Americans nor the Europeans have been fair in telling Israel enough. We find Obama telling us we are taking short cuts." Meanwhile, life in the West Bank is still precarious, with many living in fear of attacks from Israeli settlers. "They have always come at night, in darkness to attack us. We could not even sleep because of fear", says one woman. Zakaria Zubeidi, a former militant in the Palestinian al-Aqsa Brigades wants a single state, without occupation and with equal rights, but believes this will probably never happen. "The Israeli army has come with tanks and killed our people and in doing so have taken our faith and hope". For many Palestinians it's clear that the Arab Spring is still a long way from the West Bank. January 2012

The Story of Palestine

When the United Nations, in 1977, proclaimed 29 November of each year as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, it was a clear admission of guilt towards this people. It was recognition that the Palestinian people deserve international solidarity and support, in the name of justice and rights. This was merely one small event in a long story. The story of Palestine and its people is one that will go down in history. In fact it has already started to do just that. One might say that the victor is the one that writes history. The victor in this case will inevitably be justice, and justice is at the core of the Palestinian struggle against apartheid, colonialism and oppression. And as in every episode in history, everyone will be mentioned according to their positions, and more importantly their deeds with respect to each story. In the day of solidarity, let us remember that.
