Dix - The Mill Visual Effects Studio

'Dix' is a darkly comic short film showing the complexities of psychological and obsessive behaviour and is a mixture of live action and CG. The film has already scooped a raft of awards, among the most recent, the Jury Award at the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival in 2009, Shoot Young Directors Award and a win at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. Dix was directed by The Mill's directing collective, 'Bif' - who are Jules Janaud, Fabrice Le Nezet and Francois Roisin. 'Dix' is part of The Mill's ongoing initiative to produce in-house short films and continuing commitment to develop talent within their growing animation team. Girls' Generation 소녀시대 - Visual Dreams (Robotaki Remix)

Remix of SNSD's (소녀시대) single, Visual Dreams, in collaboration with Intel. This was the first collaboration between myself and derekcsy90, an amazing media producer - I'm sure the MV product speaks for itself, WOW! His work (and the girls haha) are absolutely sights for sore eyes. It was a pleasure working with him, and for the first time we've got TRUE HD!!!!! Song remix by: Robotaki - www.youtube.com Visual edits by: derekcsy90 - www.youtube.com Towards the remix, I wore some of my greatest influences, Breakbot, Chromeo, Shook, on my sleeves; I'm sure you could hear it without me saying so haha. I admit, the vocals are quieter than I'd like in some areas, but because of the liberties I took with the track and the lack of a vocal track, I really couldn't have the original pushing through into the front (again, SME: release acapellas plz! :p). I'm very happy with the way this one turned out because of the harmonies, style and such. It's got vintage synths, a growling live bass guitar solo, tubas+trombones, and tinkly bells. I'm heavily considering having the instrumental backing to this as a release on my upcoming EP. Out of curiosity, how would you all feel about this? I've discussed this with my manager and while it's completely legal, the only factor preventing me from doing this is its reception. Would love to hear your thoughts :) Anyway, enjoy the mix and video, courtesy of myself and derekcsy90! We'll have many more collaborations for any future SNSD releases ...
